Is the price per Gigajoule fixed over the entire term of the contract or can it vary? |

What will happen to my gas supply contract if I move? |

Your contract will be transferred if you move locations unless we are not able or it is not commercially reasonable to supply you at your new service address. If so, the contract will be cancelled without penalty. |

What is the start and end date of my contract? |

It depends on what term you choose, but your start and end dates will always be at the beginning of a month, and your contract term will always be 1 to 5 years in length, in year intervals. |

After you sign up, your utility will send you an affirmation letter and you will have a 10 day cooling off period to cancel the contract at your discretion. Please contact Active if you wish to cancel your contract. |

Does this contract end at the expiration date, or will it roll over into another one or multi-year term if you receive no further direction from me? |

We will send you a letter confirming your renewal terms close to the expiration date of the contract. If you would like to renew, you do not have to do anything, we will automatically renew. This is also the time where you will be able to let us know that you do not wish to continue service and arrange for other gas supply. |

What are the penalties for early termination? |

That depends on a number of factors; price, how far along you are in your contract term and the reason for termination may all play a role. In some cases there may be no penalty, and in others a penalty may apply, if you’re concerned about your natural gas agreement with us or you have a complaint, please feel free to call us, and we will do everything we can to help you out. |

What are the benefits of signing a fixed term contract? |

By signing a fixed contract you guarantee that your gas prices will not change for the term of the contract. This can lead to several benefits: i. You know exactly what you’re paying for your natural gas, so you can budget more efficiently ii. Prices for natural gas may go up, in which case you will be saving more money than if your rates reflected the current market. |

What are the financial obligations I am committing to when I sign this contract? |

You are agreeing to pay the price set out in the contract for the cost of gas portion of your natural gas bill. Feel free to review this section of your contract and if you have any questions please give us a call. |

Aside from early termination or default charges, there are virtually no additional charges that could arise from signing this contract. |

What happens to my gas supply if your business fails? |

Your utility guarantees your gas supply will continue as long as you continue to pay your gas bill. If for any reason our business fails, your natural gas supply is protected. |

What if Natural Gas prices go down? |

If prices go down, you’re still protected. On the yearly anniversary date of your contract, if Active Energy is offering a lower 5 year rate than the rate you are paying, you can call us at 1-866-628-9427 and we will take a weighted average between your current rate and the new lower rate and offer you a lower price for a new 5 year term. Your rates can never go up, but they can still go down! |
